first three days in cape town

i have been so lucky for these past three days. immediately the first day i have found and rented a perfect apartment from a landlord who almost became an honorary consul of macedonia in south africa. i have met with a ton of friends and new people who are all very helpful and cool.

i have seen beowulf and loved it although it made me sick a bit. when the grendall showed up first i was eating a kauai magma wrap which is full of weird sweet taste and i connected that taste with the grendall image and i started feeling a bit sick. i am not a fan of artificial sweetness.

the first day i had a nice run on the seapoint promenade and victoria road towards clifton with nicola and adre. the next day i had a one hour run alone but i was very tired. today i had a short swim (mostly technique) which unfortunately i had to cut short because i was late for a meeting. after a meeting i had my first ride in cape town, i rode to the bottom of suikebossie hill in hout bay and back. somewhere in traffic i got 560 watts, otherwise it was an easy ride and i felt good.

my meeting was with dan hugo, whom i sponsor through nekada.com endurance team, his girlfriend ruth and his good friend conrad stoltz. conrad stoltz is a three time xterra triathlon world champion and was interested in joining nekada.com endurance team. for me sposoring someone like conrad is both a big step into a new market (he is based in usa) and a whole new level of production. however i am super excited about it because i have been following his internet presence for a while and he seams very creative and eager. so soon we will start working and i hope you will enjoy his site, i am sure he will have plenty of cool stories to tell.

i have a feeling this will be our best stay in cape town so far.

we have room in the flat so if you want to join us in december, january or april email me.

photos will follow soon.

saturday night i am making a housewarming dinner, sms me for details.
